Consultation process and fees

“To say that Karen’s advice was life changing sounds a bit dramatic but it was. The advice I was given did not just inform me for a period of time to fix my problems but has been something I have continued to do because of the benefits I experienced.”

In your first consultation, I will make an assessment of your health, taking note of current symptoms and health history. I will take a blood pressure reading and ask to see your tongue and feel your pulse.  An individual treatment programme will be provided for you, together with a guide to duration and cost of any natural medicines and/or supplements.

The consultation process is about dialogue; through listening and asking questions the patient becomes aware of their own health imbalance and often finds the solutions themselves. I offer help in pointing the patient towards areas in their life where there is unbalance. The consultation process will reveal many options and suggestions for health improvement such as dietary changes and lifestyle adjustments. These will be discussed as we go and I will take notes in order to write your Personal Health Improvement Plan which I will email to you for your reference. I will also suggest supplements and herbal remedies which I can supply. I may be able to prepare and supply your prescription immediately or I may need a few days in which case it can be collected or posted after receipt of payment.

After your first consultation and initial treatment plan, you will have direct email access to me where you will be able to send updates about your health and further questions.

Follow-up consultations are recommended every one to four months initially. Patients need time to digest the information given in the last consultation and it is wise to only make a few small changes suggested. That in itself is a valuable tip we can learn from nature; one small change leads to another and each appointment offers the opportunity for further advice and suggestions for change in the most suitable way for each patient. It also offers a moment for further observation and accountability.

Every person and their condition is unique. The aim of holistic treatment is to achieve optimum health, which varies from person to person. Response to treatment depends on a number of factors; your overall state of health, the seriousness of your current conditions, previous treatments and medications, and your willingness to follow recommendations regarding your lifestyle and natural medicines.

“Before you heal someone, ask him if he’s willing to give up the things that make him sick.” Hippocrates
