About me

I studied herbalism at the College of Medicine and Healing Arts with Hakim Salim Khan in Leicester gaining a Diploma in Herbal and Naturopathic Medicine (Unani Tibb) in 2019. I am a registered member of the Guild of Unani Tibb.

I am passionate about healing with plants and teaching people how to use herbs for their own health and well-being. My own health journey led me to natural healing methods after having experienced harsh reactions to modern medical treatment and pharmaceuticals. I found natural remedies were both effective and gentle, working with the body and not against it.

I grew up in Leicestershire, walking and cycling along hedgerows and noticing the seasons and flora changing. Foraging, harvesting, cooking and brewing herbs kept me in contact with the natural world. My family is now spread around the world and I am always curious about indigenous healing methods and the plants that grow in the countries I visit. While studying permaculture design I was further inspired by a herbalist who helped me re-connect with the simplicity of healing ourselves with plants that grow around us. It was through the observation of nature that I sought out traditional healing medicines using nature’s remedies. Thanks to living in a multi-cultural city I was exposed to many healing traditions, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Unani Tibb. I was cured repeatedly through the applied wisdom of Unani Tibb medicine and this led me to study it. I have been inspired and led by nature all my life and it is time to share with you some of nature’s own wisdom.
